Digging in the Rain
One rainy day while at the campground my friend Dan I were called in to get some work done underneath the store taking down the ceiling in the game room putting up insulation. During the course of the day the back room behind the game room started flooding due to the heavy rain outside. So our boss Matt decided to divert us to prevent the flood that was pouring down the wall of the foundation for the store which could potentially & most likely flood Matt's house which is connected to the store. Finally after mopping & squeegeeing the oncoming torrent back towards a drain our boss sent us outside to dig a trench to draw water away from the base of the building. So there we were Dan & I standing out in the rain shoveling through gravel & dirt. As the rain started to come down in heavier torrents Dan ran to his car to get an umbrella while I went inside to get us a pair of ponchos. So while the rain was pouring down we are dressed in drenched ponchos shoveling; well Dan is trying to hold an umbrella & shovel at the same time. During the whole episode of digging in the rain we are discussing how well the campground would make for a paintball park. By the time we were done our clothes were drenched underneath the ponchos and our shoes were saturated. Overall we got to have fun & talk our whole shift which was cool because the campground was pretty much dead due to the weather.
